Definition and Usage

The borderTopColor property sets or returns the color of the top border of an element.

The borderTopColor property is supported in all major browsers.


Syntax

Return the borderTopColor property:

object.style.borderTopColor

Set the borderTopColor property:

object.style.borderTopColor="color|transparent|initial|inherit"

Property Values

Value Description
color Specifies the color of the top border. Look at CSS Color Values for a complete list of possible color values. Default color is black
transparent The color of the top border is transparent (underlying content will shine through)
initial Sets this property to its default value. Read about initial
inherit Inherits this property from its parent element. Read about inherit
