Definition and Usage

The autofocus property sets or returns whether a local datetime field should automatically get focus when the page loads, or not.

This property reflects the HTML autofocus attribute.

Note: The <input type="datetime-local"> element does not show any datetime field/calendar in Firefox.


Syntax

Return the autofocus property:

datetimelocalObject.autofocus

Set the autofocus property:

datetimelocalObject.autofocus=true|false

Property Values

Value Description
true|false Specifies whether a local datetime field should get focus when the page loads, or not
  • true - The local datetime field gets focus
  • false - Default. The local datetime field does not get focus

Technical Details

Return Value: A Boolean, returns true if the local datetime field automatically gets focus when the page loads, otherwise it returns false
